Pipe Welder 6G (TIG & ARC)

About the role

Madre Integrated Engineering is looking for a Pipe Welder 6G skilled in both TIG and ARC welding, based in Doha. The role involves welding pipes to project specifications in the oil and gas sector.

Key responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding on pipes made of stainless steel, carbon steel and alloy materials.
• Prepare pipes for welding by cleaning, beveling and fitting them.
• Inspect welds and ensure they meet project specifications and industry standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols and technical drawings.
• Maintain equipment and tools and follow all safety procedures in a clean work environment.
• Collaborate with team members and report progress to supervisors.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Pipe Welder (TIG) with a solid understanding of welding techniques and processes.
• Ability to work in challenging environments such as confined spaces and elevated platforms.
• Good physical condition and strong safety awareness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• TIG welding certification (e.g. AWS, ASME) highly preferred; additional welding certifications are an advantage.
• Experience with stainless steel, carbon steel and alloys.
• Ability to read welding blueprints, technical drawings and specifications.
• Attention to detail, quality and precision in welding work.
• Preferred: experience in heavy industry or oil and gas, knowledge of pipefitting and mechanical systems.
