Primary Teacher – International School

About the role

Compass International School Doha is seeking a Primary Teacher to deliver the British curriculum to pupils aged 3‑11. You will design engaging learning activities, set high expectations and create a respectful, inclusive classroom where every child can thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess lessons that align with the school’s Primary curriculum.
• Foster a learning culture through questioning, discussion and differentiated instruction.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to school initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about student achievement.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and school events.

Required profile

• University degree in Primary Education.
• Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS) obtained through face‑to‑face study.
• At least two years of teaching experience, preferably in an international setting.
• Ability to adapt quickly to a fast‑paced, multicultural environment.
• Willingness to meet Qatar visa‑related requirements.

• Strong knowledge of the British primary curriculum.
• Effective lesson planning and classroom management.
• Proficiency in student assessment and data‑driven instruction.
• Excellent communication skills with diverse audiences.
