Project Engineer II – Automation Projects

About the role

Honeywell Technologies is seeking a Project Engineer II to lead complex automation projects involving control and safety systems. You will work closely with the Project Manager, acting as the primary technical liaison for clients and suppliers while coordinating internal and remote resources.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main technical interface with clients and suppliers.
• Build and manage project teams, including local and remote personnel.
• Design, issue project documents, procure Honeywell and third‑party materials, test hardware, and ensure proper configuration.
• Ship all goods with required certificates and final documentation.
• Expedite activities, manage deliveries, and maintain quality standards.
• Support site activities by allocating appropriate resources.
• Develop and sustain long‑term relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Stay informed on technical issues and workarounds.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics or Automation Engineering.
• 10–12 years of experience as a Lead Engineer on automation projects, preferably in Oil & Gas.
• Proven track record delivering automation projects for EPC firms such as Saipem, Tecnimont, Technip, etc.
• Experience working with O&G end users.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Honeywell hardware solutions: Experion, C300, Safety Manager.
• Familiarity with third‑party items: marshalling cabinets, power distribution panels, interposing relay panels, auxiliary consoles, cables.
• Control and safety system integration.
• Project documentation, procurement, testing, and shipping processes.
