Project Manager - Oil & Gas EPC (Pipeline)

About the role

An experienced Project Manager is sought to lead major Oil & Gas EPC projects from start to finish, guiding teams through design, purchasing, construction, testing and final handover. The role suits a strong leader who can manage large projects, meet key goals and work with clients and teams from different backgrounds. The position is based in Qatar.

Key responsibilities

• Lead EPC projects from project award to final handover.
• Manage engineering, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning.
• Plan project work, budgets, timelines and resources.
• Ensure projects meet safety, quality, cost and time goals.
• Manage contracts, including Lump Sum Turnkey (LSTK) and reimbursable models.
• Work closely with clients, vendors, contractors and project teams.
• Identify project risks and take action to avoid delays and extra costs.
• Ensure work meets client needs and industry codes and standards.
• Lead teams from different cultures and backgrounds.
• Oversee project progress and give clear updates to senior leaders and clients.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• 20+ years of overall experience in Oil & Gas project execution, including 5-7 years as a Project Manager.
• Proven experience in downstream or midstream EPC projects in the Middle East.
• Pipeline project experience is required.
• Experience working with international clients and diverse teams.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of EPC contracts, including LSTK and reimbursable models.
• Good understanding of regional EPC practices and project challenges.
• Knowledge of international standards such as API, ASME, IEC and ISO.
