Project Planner - Building Project in Qatar

About the role

Candidzone is seeking an experienced Project Planner for a building project in Qatar. The ideal candidate has a relevant engineering or construction management qualification, strong experience in project planning and scheduling, and GCC experience working with consultancy firms. Experience in hospitality and similar building projects is highly desirable.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and update project schedules in line with project requirements.
• Monitor project progress and compare actual performance against planned timelines.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, contractors and site teams.
• Identify potential delays, scheduling conflicts and critical activities.
• Prepare progress reports, look-ahead schedules and planning updates.
• Analyse project delays and recommend corrective actions to keep project timelines.
• Track project milestones and review schedules, work programmes and progress submissions.
• Maintain accurate planning records and report regularly to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in project planning, scheduling and progress monitoring.
• GCC experience with consultancy firms is required.
• Experience in hospitality and similar building projects.
• Valid Qatar ID (QID) is mandatory.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of project scheduling, progress reporting and planning procedures.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project is preferred.
• Excellent analytical, organisational, communication and coordination skills.
