Projects Manager

About the role

The Projects Manager is responsible for leading QAFCO’s Projects Department, providing overall direction, development, coordination and execution of both greenfield and brownfield projects, including shutdown and non‑shutdown activities within existing facilities. The role ensures projects align with the company’s strategy, commitments and goals.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the custodian of QAFCO’s project management methodology, ensuring system integrity, compliance and continuous improvement.
• Plan, direct and organise department activities to meet budgets and R&A plans while optimising manpower utilisation.
• Lead Head of Sections, Project Engineers and Project Support in planning, scheduling, design quality and execution.
• Oversee contracting, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and hand‑over until project close‑out, ensuring safety, cost, schedule and quality targets.
• Provide executive‑summary reporting and monitor project balance scorecards to meet objectives.

Required profile

• Reports to the Chief Technical Officer.
• Leads multi‑disciplined teams in a petrochemical/oil‑gas environment.
• Minimum 180 months (15 years) of relevant project management experience.
• Strong analytical and innovative problem‑solving abilities.
