Purchasing Executive

About the role

As a Purchasing Executive you will manage operational purchasing for indirect materials, ensuring compliance with Group Purchasing policies and supporting the company’s business targets. You will work closely with local user departments and the global purchasing team to source, negotiate and maintain supplier relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and plan requirements for designated indirect material categories in collaboration with user departments.
• Source, select, negotiate and approve suppliers, including conducting audits and evaluations when required.
• Monitor supplier performance, pricing trends and market conditions to drive continuous improvement and cost‑saving initiatives.
• Execute the tactical purchasing process, using appropriate contract formats such as frame agreements.
• Place and follow up orders in the Matrix system and coordinate invoice control with finance.
• Maintain and analyse spend reports to identify top spend categories and support optimisation.
• Report on agreed KPIs to the Purchasing Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in supply chain, purchasing or procurement, preferably in FMCG, paints, building materials or manufacturing.
• Strong negotiation, communication and analytical abilities.
• Proactive, methodical and able to work independently while adhering to company procedures.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reporting and data analysis.
