QA/QC Manager

About the role

The QA/QC Manager will lead the Quality Assurance and Quality Control function for major EPCC projects across all phases – Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning. Reporting to the Chief Major Projects Officer, the role ensures compliance with contract requirements, drives a quality‑focused culture and safeguards project risk.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full QA/QC function across EPCC phases and implement the Project Quality Management System.
• Conduct quality surveillance for design deliverables, vendor inspections, fabrication controls, ITP adherence and commissioning verification.
• Develop and execute the Project Quality Audit Plan, maintain the audit register and ensure timely closure of findings.
• Review and approve project procedures, ensuring alignment with EPCC contracts, client standards and PIM.
• Serve as Project Risk Manager – maintain the risk register, update monthly and track quality‑related contractual risks.
• Allocate QC inspectors, oversee ITP hold‑points, manage RFI processes and approve inspection reports.
• Handle NCRs, deviations, concessions and corrective actions, coordinating with procurement and vendors.
• Embed quality requirements in material requisitions, bid evaluations and purchase orders, and oversee vendor facility inspections.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading QA/QC teams on large‑scale EPCC projects.
• Strong understanding of contract compliance, audit management and risk mitigation.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and communicate with senior project stakeholders.
