Quantity Surveyor – Doha

About the role

Saur, a leading provider of water and essential services, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join its Doha team. Reporting to the Study‑Proposal Engineer, you will manage cost estimation and quantity surveying activities across engineering projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, quantity take‑offs and Bills of Quantities for engineering projects, covering materials, labour and overheads.
• Monitor project expenses, track budgets, review contractor invoices and identify cost variances.
• Support project proposals with cost analyses, risk assessments and contingency estimates.
• Evaluate design changes, scope variations and change orders, providing cost impact documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in quantity surveying or cost estimation.
• Strong analytical, numerical and financial management abilities.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Proficiency with quantity surveying and cost estimation software.
• Advanced MS Excel and MS Office skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, P&IDs and tender documents.
• Experience preparing BOQs, tender packages and cost breakdowns.
