GSAS Specialist for International Airport Projects

About the role

The GSAS Specialist will lead sustainability and environmental compliance for large‑scale international airport projects, managing the Global Sustainability Assessment System (GSAS) certification from planning through final approval.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the GSAS certification process across all project phases.
• Review architectural, civil, structural, MEP and infrastructure designs for GSAS compliance.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and regulatory bodies to achieve target certification levels.
• Prepare, review and submit all required GSAS documentation.
• Conduct sustainability assessments, audits and compliance reviews during design and construction.
• Advise on energy efficiency, water conservation, waste management, indoor environmental quality and sustainable material selection.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure implementation of sustainability measures.
• Identify sustainability risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Prepare sustainability reports and progress updates for management and authorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Certified GSAS Specialist (CGSAS) or equivalent accreditation (mandatory).
• Minimum 10 years of hands‑on experience with GSAS implementation and certification.
• At least 5 years of management experience on large international airport projects.
• Proven track record managing sustainability certification for complex infrastructure or aviation projects.
