Regulatory Licensing Application Reviewer – Qatar (Arabic speaking)

About the role

This 4‑month contract offers a unique opportunity to apply regulatory expertise by reviewing and assessing fintech licensing applications in Qatar. You will work on emerging sectors such as Stored Value Facilities, Retail Payment Services, Open Finance, and Payment Tokens, ensuring thorough documentation screening and clear communication throughout the process.

Key responsibilities

• Review and assess licensing applications focused on emerging fintech areas.
• Conduct detailed screening of applicant documentation and interviews.
• Engage effectively with applicants and internal teams.
• Collaborate with specialized teams covering AML/CFT, Conduct & Consumer Protection, Fit & Proper Assessment, Business Model & Financial Projections, and IT workflows.
• Present findings and recommendations to regulatory stakeholders.

Required profile

• Ex‑regulators with proven experience in licensing application reviews.
• Arabic speaking.
• Strong knowledge of fintech regulatory frameworks and innovative payment services.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple specialized review areas.
• Available to work onsite in Qatar for the contract duration (remote options subject to data residency compliance).
