Restaurant Supervisor

About the role

The Restaurant Supervisor ensures that the dining operations run smoothly, delivering high‑quality service to guests at the Sheraton Grand Doha Resort. This full‑time, onsite role coordinates staff, maintains standards, and supports the overall guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the restaurant team to provide optimal service and meet guest needs.
• Inspect staff grooming, attire, and overall appearance, correcting any deficiencies.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including setting up supplies, cleaning equipment, and securing the venue.
• Maintain organized storage areas, enforce FIFO practices, and ensure cleanliness.
• Conduct scheduled inventories, stock replenishment, and requisition supplies.
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service quality, safety, and guest well‑being.
• Create and follow work orders for maintenance repairs.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, and disciplining employees.
• Uphold company safety and security policies, report incidents, and complete required safety training.
• Welcome guests professionally, anticipate service needs, and provide assistance to individuals with disabilities.
• Promote a positive work environment, support team goals, and address employee concerns.
• Identify and implement improvements to increase efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost‑savings.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant food‑and‑beverage experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods and lift objects up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Capability to navigate narrow, confined, or elevated spaces and use stairs or service ramps.
• Strong communication skills and professional language use.
