Rotating Equipment Technician

About the role

Madre Integrated Engineering is looking for a rotating equipment technician in Doha. The role covers the maintenance, alignment, testing and troubleshooting of pumps and related rotating equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Pump maintenance: dismantle, inspect and repair centrifugal, boiler feed, seawater intake, condensate and potable water pumps.
• Alignment and balancing: perform precision alignment of shafts, couplings and bearings using laser alignment tools.
• Testing and commissioning: carry out hydrostatic, performance and vibration tests after maintenance.
• Troubleshooting: diagnose mechanical faults, vibration issues and seal or bearing failures.
• Documentation: maintain maintenance logs, inspection reports and compliance records.
• Safety compliance: follow HSE procedures, permit-to-work systems and PPE requirements during outage activities.
• Coordination: work with project engineers, field service engineers and rigging teams on pump removal and installation.

Required profile

• Diploma or technical certificate in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5-7 years of hands-on experience with rotating equipment, specifically pumps.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of centrifugal, boiler feed, condensate extraction and seawater intake pumps.
• Familiarity with QE standards, ASME/API codes and OEM manuals.
