Sales Manager - Leisure

About the role

The Leisure Sales Manager will lead the hotel’s leisure segment, driving room revenue and market share by managing relationships with wholesale tour operators, OTAs, travel agents, consortia and tourism boards. The role focuses on creating and executing sales strategies to maximise occupancy, especially during off‑peak periods.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and grow existing leisure accounts while prospecting new business globally and regionally.
• Negotiate annual wholesale and FIT contracts, ensuring pricing aligns with revenue management goals.
• Monitor competitor activity, market trends and travel patterns to identify new niches.
• Represent the hotel at major trade shows (ITB, WTM, ILTM) and conduct targeted sales missions.
• Collaborate with Revenue Management and Marketing to develop leisure packages and promotional campaigns.
• Organise and host site inspections and familiarisation trips for agents, wholesalers and media.
• Track production, analyse ROI of marketing actions and provide regular forecasts to the Director of Sales & Marketing.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of hotel sales experience within the leisure segment, with a proven track record.
• In‑depth knowledge of the Qatar market and an established network of luxury travel advisors, consortia and international tour operators.
• Willingness to travel extensively for client meetings, trade shows and industry events.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation and interpersonal skills; multilingual abilities are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Property Management Systems such as Opera.
• Experience using CRM tools like Salesforce.
• Familiarity with Delphi reservation system.
