Senior Associate – Criminal Litigation (Bilingual Arabic/English)

About the role

Al Sulaiti Law Firm is looking for a highly driven Senior Associate to join its Criminal Litigation practice. The successful candidate will work on complex, high‑stakes criminal matters, shaping defence strategies and representing clients in Qatar and the wider MENA region.

Key responsibilities

• Manage criminal cases from investigation through trial and appeal.
• Draft defence memoranda, pleadings, submissions and legal opinions.
• Prepare and deliver oral advocacy before courts and public prosecution, including witness examination.
• Provide commercial, pragmatic advice to clients while ensuring compliance with local criminal law frameworks.

Required profile

• Law degree with valid legal qualifications.
• Minimum 7 years post‑qualification experience in criminal litigation.
• Fluency in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
• Proven ability to work independently on high‑profile cases.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and client‑facing communication abilities.

Required skills

• Legal drafting of defence documents.
• Oral advocacy before courts and prosecution.
• Case management from investigation to appeal.
