Senior Commercial & Economics Manager

About the role

The Senior Commercial & Economics Manager will lead economic evaluation, fiscal analysis and commercial structuring for UCC Holding’s upstream oil and gas portfolio. Reporting to senior leadership, the role ensures capital is directed to high‑value opportunities while managing commercial and fiscal risks.

Key responsibilities

• Lead economic evaluations for exploration, development and producing assets across a global upstream portfolio, building and maintaining NPV, IRR and cash‑flow models.
• Conduct scenario and risk analyses (price, cost, fiscal, schedule) to support investment decisions such as Concept Select, FID and portfolio reviews.
• Evaluate fiscal regimes, production sharing contracts, royalties and tax structures worldwide, providing benchmarking and identifying optimisation opportunities.
• Support portfolio strategy and capital allocation by screening, ranking and recommending divestments, farm‑ins/farm‑outs and acquisitions.
• Structure commercial agreements for joint ventures, partnerships and asset transactions, overseeing negotiation, drafting and administration of contracts.
• Monitor global upstream oil‑and‑gas market trends, M&A activity and pricing dynamics, delivering strategic insights to senior leadership.
• Act as a key advisor to subsurface, development, finance and executive teams, ensuring alignment of economic assumptions with capital allocation frameworks.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in economic evaluation and commercial analysis of upstream oil and gas assets.
• Deep knowledge of international fiscal regimes, production sharing contracts and tax structures.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain financial models and conduct risk‑based scenario analysis.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, working closely with technical, finance and executive functions.
• Demonstrated track record in supporting investment decisions and portfolio optimisation.
