Senior Consultant - MENA Tax, Global Compliance & Reporting

About the role

EY is seeking a Senior Consultant for its MENA Tax - Global Compliance & Reporting (GCR) team in Doha. You will lead complex engagements and play a key role in growing the GCR practice, combining technical skills with commercial, legislative and industry knowledge.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team providing tax services and manage clients' compliance and reporting needs
• Manage client engagements day to day, monitor progress and deliverables, set up standardised processes and anticipate risks
• Escalate issues appropriately and drive performance-improvement solutions
• Supervise high-performing teams, coach and counsel juniors and build a positive learning culture
• Ensure adherence to Tax Quality guidelines and maintain strong internal and external relationships

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, taxation or a related field; MBA, master's or other advanced degree and/or professional qualification such as CA, CPA, ACCA, CTA or ADIT preferred
• Strong knowledge of domestic and international tax rules and regulations, with at least 4 years of experience, ideally in a large professional services firm
• Strong background in tax accounting and tax auditing, ideally in a large professional services firm
• Managerial, organisational and project management experience
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is preferred
• Ideal candidates have experience with multinational clients and a multi-cultural environment, and in-depth commercial, legislative and industry knowledge
