Senior HR Application Specialist

About the role

The Senior HR Application Specialist is a technical and functional expert for SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) and related technology solutions, ensuring stability, integrity, and continuous enhancement of payroll systems and integrations. The role translates business requirements into system solutions, manages configuration changes, testing, defect resolution, payroll‑related integrations, and release activities, while providing expert support for payroll processing, payroll posting, banking interfaces, and financial integrations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide functional support and consulting for ECP, including payroll processing, off‑cycle payments, payroll posting, validation activities and transmission of bank files.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into system solutions and process improvements.
• Investigate and resolve production issues, system defects, and data discrepancies.
• Support system enhancements, configuration changes, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance activities.
• Coordinate payroll‑related testing, reconciliation, posting, reversal validation, and integration monitoring.
• Manage HR system integrations involving SAP SuccessFactors, S/4HANA, banking platforms, and external systems.
• Coordinate integration testing, interface monitoring, issue resolution, and deployment activities.
• Work closely with Finance, Treasury, S/4HANA, and infrastructure teams to ensure end‑to‑end process continuity.
• Participate in the design and evaluation of long‑term integration solutions and architecture improvements.
• Serve as a key contact point between HR, Payroll, Finance, Treasury, Digital Business Solutions, and implementation partners.
• Facilitate workshops, requirement discussions, testing sessions, and status meetings.
• Plan and execute system integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and regression testing.
• Validate business scenarios, payroll outputs, banking interfaces, and financial postings.
• Provide technical inputs to HR transformation initiatives, including S/4HANA implementation and system integration activities.
• Design and coordinate HR cut‑over plans and perform impact assessments for integration changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Technology or a related field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in SAP HCM and SAP SuccessFactors Payroll.
• Experience with SAP HCM, S/4HANA, payroll integrations, banking interfaces, and HR technology implementations.
• Proven experience supporting end‑to‑end implementation and support projects.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder‑management, and problem‑solving skills.
