Senior Inspector – Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I)

About the role

Bureau Veritas International is looking for an experienced Senior Inspector to lead offshore Electrical, Instrumentation and Telecommunications (E&I) inspections during the Integrated Hull, Umbilicals, Risers and Flowlines (IHUC) phases of oil & gas projects. The role ensures quality, safety and regulatory compliance across multiple project stages in a fast‑paced offshore environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the EPC contractor in executing inspection and testing activities for topside facilities, adhering to project specifications, company codes and AFC drawings.
• Represent the company during site inspections of EPC, vendor and subcontractor installations for electrical, control and instrument systems.
• Review and approve EPC procedures, Inspection & Test Plans, and ensure alignment with quality documents and ITPs.
• Participate in weekly QA/QC meetings, manage QOC, CAR and NCR close‑outs, and conduct flawless project walk‑downs.
• Coordinate inspection readiness, perform visual and detailed inspections, and verify compliance with IEC 60079‑14 & 17 standards.
• Conduct receipt inspections of incoming E&I equipment and perform IR testing of power and control cables, busbars, transformers and motors.

Required profile

• Engineering Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical/Instrumentation/Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the oil & gas industry.
• Valid COMPEX (Ex01‑Ex04) or IECEX (Ex01, Ex03, Ex04, Ex06, Ex07, Ex08) certification.
• Hands‑on training with cable gland assemblies, Swagelok/Parker fittings, cable tray/ladder installation, and MCT (ROXTEC or HAWKE) assembly.
