Senior Process Engineer

About the role

The Senior Process Engineer will be responsible for monitoring and optimizing plant performance in a refinery or Linear Alkyl Benzene (LAB) facility. The role involves daily performance reporting, identifying abnormalities, and driving corrective actions to ensure efficient operations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor plant and facility performance and prepare daily performance summaries.
• Identify process abnormalities and recommend corrective actions.
• Conduct studies to develop, test, and implement operational changes.
• Utilize process simulation tools to evaluate process improvements.
• Collaborate with laboratory and automation teams to integrate data from RIS, PHD, and LIMS.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of hands‑on experience in process/operations within a refinery or LAB plant.
• BSc in Chemical Engineering or Petroleum Processing Engineering.
• Fluent spoken and written English with strong communication skills.
• Analytical ability to assess plant economics and business impact.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 17025, ISO 14000 and refinery IMS procedures.

Required skills

• Process simulation tools for refinery or LAB operations.
• Refinery Information System (RIS) and Process Historian Data (PHD).
• Laboratory Information System (LIMS).
• SAP and off‑site automation software applications.
• Microsoft Project, Excel, graphics/presentation packages, and workflow charting tools.
