About the role
We are seeking a Senior Procurement Engineer specialized in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) to lead technical and commercial procurement for large‑scale building and infrastructure projects. You will shape supplier strategy, control costs and risks, and provide high‑level support to ensure project objectives are met.
Key responsibilities
- Lead technical and commercial evaluation of bids, tenders and comparison sheets to ensure alignment with engineering specifications.
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for major project packages and manage high‑value supplier negotiations and framework agreements.
- Coordinate with Engineering, QA/QC and Project Management teams to resolve technical queries, clear submittals and ensure compliance with project standards.
- Maintain procurement technical files, compliance records and contract terms in strict accordance with company procedures.
- Prepare detailed procurement status reports, milestone tracking and commercial evaluations for leadership visibility.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- 8+ years of procurement experience in construction/contracting, with senior‑level exposure on large‑scale projects.
- Proven track record in Qatar or the GCC.
- Strong capabilities in technical reporting, data synthesis and package status tracking.
- Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
Required skills
- Proficiency with ERP/procurement systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
