Senior Project Engineer – Water & Wastewater Treatment

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer to lead water and wastewater treatment projects in Doha, focusing on Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants, Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), pumping stations and related MEP systems. The role involves full‑cycle project coordination, technical management and stakeholder communication to ensure successful delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage day‑to‑day execution of RO, STP and pumping station projects.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and vendors to ensure smooth delivery.
• Lead multidisciplinary coordination meetings and resolve technical and interface issues.
• Review and approve technical submittals, shop drawings, material data and vendor documentation.
• Monitor progress, schedules and resources to meet project milestones.
• Support procurement, construction, testing, commissioning and handover activities.
• Review equipment datasheets, P&IDs, PFDs and hydraulic calculations for compliance.
• Prepare reports, technical correspondence, meeting minutes and progress updates.
• Identify risks, develop mitigation plans and assist with change management.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in water and wastewater treatment project execution.
• Hands‑on experience with RO plants, STPs, pumping stations and associated utility infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle from engineering to handover.
• Ability to work independently and resolve technical challenges.
• Familiarity with relevant engineering codes and Qatari Construction Standards (QCS).
