Senior Project Manager – National Financial & Tax Programs

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to lead transformational, national‑scale initiatives in the financial and tax domains. The role oversees multi‑year, multi‑million‑dollar programmes covering digital tax systems, e‑invoicing frameworks, legal harmonisation and extensive stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution and delivery of multi‑year mega projects aligned with national priorities, including development of project and communication plans.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations across workstreams such as information systems development, legal and policy frameworks, and national awareness campaigns.
• Manage phased national roll‑out of tax reform initiatives, ensuring technical, legal and public‑engagement alignment.
• Break down large tasks into work packages, define and maintain a RACI matrix, and drive risk and issue management.
• Maintain stakeholder communication with government bodies, legal teams, IT departments and external consultants, providing regular progress updates.
• Control multi‑million‑dollar budgets, allocate resources efficiently and handle escalations to keep projects on schedule.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Computer Science or related field (Master’s preferred).
• PMP or Prince2 certification (or equivalent).
• 15+ years of experience managing large, complex projects in financial, tax or public sectors.
• Proven experience delivering national‑level programmes, including ERP and e‑invoicing implementations.
