Senior Sales Assistant - Cigar Room

About the role

Qatar Duty Free, the shopping emporium at Hamad International Airport with more than 90 boutiques, retail stores, restaurants and cafés, is hiring a Senior Sales Assistant (Cigar Room) in Doha. This is a specialist sales position focused on high-end categories such as cigars, requiring advanced skills and knowledge to build customer relationships and maximise sales.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales of specialised high-end categories by keeping stock available and merchandising to the required standards.
• Deliver a personalised, professional and hospitable experience and represent the area positively.
• Build long-term relationships with customers and provide exceptional after-sales service.
• Identify customer needs through open-ended questions and present, demonstrate and sell products by their features, advantages and benefits.
• Achieve sales targets through KPIs, including add-on sales, upselling and substitute selling.
• Introduce customers to other brands or departments and handle complaints professionally.

Required profile

• High school qualification with at least 2 years of relevant job experience.
• Proactive approach to selling and creativity in generating new business in the store.
• Effective written and spoken English.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, high integrity, and confidence, politeness and approachability.
• Ongoing brand-specific sales, merchandising and product knowledge training.
• Follows QDF hygiene and grooming standards and behaves politely and professionally on duty.
