Senior Sales Manager - Outside Catering & Events

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic and results‑driven Senior Sales Manager to lead our Outside Catering & Events business at Rixos Gulf Hotel Doha. The role focuses on driving revenue growth, building strong client relationships and delivering innovative event solutions for corporate and private customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and increase market share in the outdoor catering and events sector.
• Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners and key decision‑makers.
• Lead, mentor and manage the events sales team, providing guidance on sales techniques and performance optimisation.
• Prepare detailed proposals, quotations and contracts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client requirements.
• Coordinate with operations and logistics teams to ensure seamless event execution and client satisfaction.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activities and market opportunities to inform strategic decisions.
• Manage sales pipelines and forecasts using CRM systems, tracking leads, conversions and client interactions.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and service agreements while maintaining profitability.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of proven sales experience in outdoor catering, events management or related hospitality fields.
• Track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and revenue goals.
• Strong knowledge of outdoor catering services, event logistics and planning coordination.
• Excellent client relationship management and consultative selling abilities.
• Experience leading and managing a sales team.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Fluent English communication and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with Doha’s events market and luxury event standards (preferred).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
• Experience using sales management tools.
