Structural Engineer - Offshore & Onshore

About the role

Madre Integrated Engineering is hiring a full-time Structural Engineer in Doha within the oil and gas sector. The engineer prepares and reviews structural designs for offshore platforms, jackets, topsides, pipeline supports and onshore facilities, working across FEED, detailed design, construction and commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review structural designs for offshore platforms, jackets, topsides, pipeline supports and onshore facilities.
• Perform structural analysis using industry software to verify load capacity, fatigue and dynamic response.
• Conduct inspections, assessments and life-extension studies for existing structures.
• Provide engineering input during FEED, detailed design, construction and commissioning.
• Ensure designs meet API, AISC, ISO and company specifications.
• Work with mechanical, piping, civil and electrical teams to integrate structural solutions.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, specifications and calculations for submission and approval.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master's preferred.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in oil and gas structural engineering, offshore and onshore.
• Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (API RP2A, AISC, ISO, BS).
• Familiarity with fabrication, installation and construction methods in oil and gas.

Required skills

• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as STAAD.Pro, SACS, ANSYS and ETABS.
