System Analyst - Financial Markets

About the role

This System Analyst position works closely with stakeholders to turn business needs into technical specifications, designing system workflows and ensuring integration with stock exchange APIs and market data feeds. It suits someone who can work under pressure in a fast-paced trading environment.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, document and translate business requirements into technical specifications with stakeholders.
• Design system workflows and lifecycle events.
• Ensure integration with stock exchange APIs and market data feeds.
• Develop and maintain System Requirement Specifications (SRS), interface definitions and data mapping documents.
• Take part in testing and validation of new features, including regression and performance testing.
• Mentor junior analysts and help build best-practice frameworks.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in system analysis or IT business analysis, preferably in the financial sector.
• Strong knowledge of secure system architecture.
• Strong documentation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, plus leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical people and to manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Modelling: UML, ERD, BPMN; tools such as Visio, Enterprise Architect and Jira.
• Oracle database (SQL, PL/SQL), message queues and REST/SOAP APIs.
• BRD and FRD documentation, SDLC, Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
