Underwriting Officer / Senior Officer (P&C)

About the role

Qatar Insurance Company (QIC), part of the QIC Group, is looking for an Underwriting Officer or Senior Officer to service its existing corporate customers for Property, Engineering, Casualty and General Accident insurance products. The role involves underwriting good-quality risks within the authority limits set out in the Operations Manual.

Key responsibilities

• Serve existing corporate customers for Property, Engineering, Casualty and General Accident insurance products.
• Underwrite good quality risks within the authority limit specified in the Operations Manual.
• Determine insurance premiums, the extent of coverage and other conditions of the insurance contract.
• Assess risks and release quotations in line with the Company's underwriting guidelines and reinsurance arrangements.
• Negotiate premium and policy terms with clients and insurance brokers.

Required profile

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience handling underwriting of corporate accounts for Property, Engineering, Casualty and General Accident lines.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
