Accountant

About the role

A full-time Accountant position in Qatar is open to candidates with at least 3-5 years of work experience as an accountant in Qatar. The role covers day-to-day accounting operations, reporting and compliance with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all accounting transactions and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Prepare budget forecasts and publish financial statements on time
• Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements, and report on the company's financial health and liquidity
• Audit financial transactions and documents
• Ensure timely bank payments and reinforce financial data confidentiality
• Conduct database backups when necessary and comply with financial policies and regulations

Required profile

• BSc in Accounting, Finance or a relevant degree
• At least 3-5 years of work experience as an accountant in Qatar
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures in Qatar
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
• Qatar driving licence and NOC to change sponsor

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with accounting software Tally and QuickBooks
• Advanced MS Excel, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables
• Experience with general ledger functions
