VP/Director – Education Private Equity (Doha, Qatar)

About the role

Our client, an international education‑focused private equity team based in Doha, is seeking a senior leader to drive the strategy, execution, and impact of its education fund. This VP/Director will relocate to Doha and join an established team within a larger financial institution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full transaction lifecycle, from sourcing and analysis to execution, including due diligence, financial modelling and preparation of investment materials.
• Engage with portfolio company management and represent the fund in strategic meetings.
• Manage and develop direct reports (Associates and Senior Associates) to build a high‑performing team.
• Define and implement the overall strategy for the education fund’s portfolio, ensuring alignment with objectives, risk appetite and financial targets.
• Oversee fundraising and capital‑raising activities.
• Monitor financial performance of portfolio companies, driving returns while managing risk.
• Develop frameworks to measure and report the social and educational impact of investments, particularly in the K‑12 sector.

Required profile

• Previous M&A experience at a top investment bank or education‑focused private equity fund.
• Strong passion for education, especially K‑12.
• Degree from a top‑tier institution in a relevant field.
• Proven ability to coach and lead analysts and associates.
• Willingness to relocate to Doha.
