Wave Pool Instructor

About the role

We are looking for an energetic Wave Pool Instructor to lead safe and enjoyable wave pool experiences for our guests at Banana Island Resort Doha. You will be the primary point of contact for guests using the wave pool, ensuring safety, providing guidance, and delivering exceptional hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise wave pool activities and enforce safety rules and operating procedures.
• Conduct safety briefings and explain pool guidelines to guests.
• Monitor swimmers and pool conditions continuously, responding to emergencies promptly.
• Assist guests with safe entry and exit from the wave pool.
• Enforce height, age, and other safety restrictions according to park policies.
• Perform routine inspections of pool areas, equipment, flotation devices, and signage.
• Coordinate with lifeguards, operations staff, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of pool decks and guest areas.
• Record incidents, maintenance concerns, and daily operational reports.
• Support special events, aquatic programs, and group activities as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Lifeguard certification (or willingness to obtain before employment).
• CPR, First Aid, and water‑rescue certifications preferred.
• Strong swimming ability and solid knowledge of water‑safety procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stay alert and respond calmly in emergency situations.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, holidays, and peak seasons.
