Welding Supervisor

About the role

The Welding Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating and executing maintenance activities within the workshop, especially during major turnarounds. The role ensures that schedules are met, resources are allocated efficiently, and all work complies with occupational health, safety, quality and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement workshop plans and schedules in coordination with sub‑ordinates and planning teams.
• Arrange manpower, spares, materials and equipment for maintenance jobs, ensuring timely availability.
• Produce weekly maintenance reports and track progress against planned work.
• Maintain accurate records for work orders, time entry, history and quality assurance.
• Coordinate with material management, MRP controllers and end users to avoid disruptions.
• Prepare risk analyses, environmental assessments and other compliance documentation.
• Act as the technical reference point for the workshop team.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising welding and maintenance teams in an industrial setting.
• Strong ability to plan, prioritize and monitor multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting to superiors and coordinating with various departments.
• Knowledge of occupational health, safety, quality and environmental procedures.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP maintenance management systems.
• Experience using MRP systems for spare parts planning.
• Ability to conduct risk analysis and prepare related documentation.
