Academic Director - Qatar

About the role

The school is looking for an Academic Director to lead its academic vision, deliver high-quality curricula and support faculty development. Working closely with the leadership team, the Academic Director sets strategic goals, improves student achievement and maintains the school's reputation for educational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement an academic strategy aligned with international standards
• Lead and mentor department heads (Science, English, Maths, etc.) so they align with curriculum objectives
• Oversee curriculum design, assessment systems and the delivery of instructional materials
• Ensure continuous faculty professional development to raise teaching quality
• Monitor and evaluate student performance and put improvement strategies in place
• Cultivate relationships with external stakeholders such as parents and governing bodies

Required profile

• Master's degree in Education or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in academic leadership or senior teaching positions
• Proven ability in curriculum development, teacher coaching and driving academic excellence
• Strong background in leading teams, managing student performance and developing faculty
• Experience in international or Gulf-region schools is highly desirable
