Accountant – Finance & Reporting – Doha, Qatar

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Accountant to join our finance team in Doha. The role involves preparing financial statements, managing cash flow, and providing analytical insights to support business decisions within the Food & Beverage sector.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Manage cash‑flow planning and forecasting.
• Prepare, review and analyse Profit & Loss (P&L) statements.
• Assist management with budget preparation, financial planning and cost‑control initiatives.
• Support sales forecasting and deliver financial insights for decision‑making.
• Perform variance analysis and identify cost‑optimisation opportunities.
• Ensure accurate recording of transactions and reconcile accounts.
• Monitor inventory accounting, food‑cost analysis and operational expenses.
• Develop financial models and business performance reports.
• Support audits and ensure compliance with statutory, tax and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with operations and management to improve financial performance.
• Maintain strong internal controls and recommend process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (mandatory).
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in Food & Beverage or hospitality.
• Professional qualifications such as CMA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent are highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting and internal controls.
• Excellent analytical, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Qatar‑based candidates are preferred.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting/ERP systems.
