About the role
Samsung E&A is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its finance team in Al Khor. The role involves handling a wide range of accounting activities for oil and gas projects, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries, trial balances, and financial statements.
- Perform fixed‑asset, inventory, and cost accounting.
- Reconcile bank accounts and manage cash‑budget requests.
- Oversee payroll operations, expense verification, and vendor invoice matching.
- Analyze GL accounts, prepare depreciation schedules, and provide ad‑hoc financial analysis.
Required profile
- 3‑5 years of accounting experience in oil & gas projects.
- Knowledge of GCC tax systems and accounting regulations.
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Fluent in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
Required skills
- SAP
- Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- QuickBooks or Xero
- Payroll processing
- Financial statement preparation
