Assistant Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Assistant Housekeeping Manager supports the Executive Housekeeper in delivering high‑quality housekeeping services across a large‑scale hotel operation. This role ensures that guest rooms, public areas and F&B outlets meet the brand’s standards while managing budgets, stock and staff schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing daily housekeeping operations for 500+ rooms and multiple food‑and‑beverage outlets.
• Control departmental budgets through effective stock management and cost controls.
• Monitor team performance, conduct training sessions and promote teamwork.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of room categories, amenities and cleaning standards.
• Coordinate communication with other hotel departments, external suppliers and customers.
• Ensure staffing levels align with business demand and manage duty rosters.
• Handle performance issues in line with company policies.
• Report maintenance needs and uphold safety and sanitation procedures.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of experience in hotel housekeeping, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant managerial role.
• Experience in a large hotel with 500+ rooms and multiple F&B outlets.
• Proven ability to manage high‑volume operations while maintaining quality during peak periods.
• Strong leadership, communication and coordination skills across departments.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and uphold standards.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of housekeeping standards, hygiene and safety procedures.
• Experience with room, public area and F&B cleaning inspections and quality audits.
• Hands‑on experience in linen, uniform and inventory management.
• Capability to support manpower planning, duty rosters and productivity control.
