Assistant Housekeeping Manager

About the role

St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, part of Marriott International, is hiring an Assistant Housekeeping Manager in Doha West Bay, Qatar. The role covers inspecting cleaned guest rooms and public areas, running room reports, coordinating housekeeping with engineering, front office and laundry, and supporting housekeeping management in hiring, training and scheduling staff.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas and the pool after cleaning to ensure quality standards.
• Run sold room reports, verify room status, identify discrepant rooms, prioritise cleaning and update the status of departing guest rooms.
• Assist housekeeping management in managing daily activities and act as a liaison between housekeeping, engineering, front office and laundry.
• Document and resolve discrepant rooms with the front desk, prepare and distribute room assignment changes, and brief the next shift.
• Help with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counselling, disciplining and coaching employees.
• Follow company and safety/security policies, report maintenance problems and hazards, complete safety training, and keep a professional appearance and confidentiality.
• Welcome guests, anticipate their needs, assist people with disabilities and speak clearly and professionally.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 55 pounds, pushing and pulling carts, standing and walking for long periods, and using computers and point-of-sale systems.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of related work experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
• No license or certification required.
