Assistant Manager - Events Operations

About the role

Support the daily operations of the Events department at Rosewood Doha, ensuring seamless execution of conferences, weddings, VIP functions and outdoor events.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise all event types, ensuring setups follow the Banquet Event Order and operational standards.
• Conduct pre‑event briefings, monitor event flow, and resolve operational challenges promptly.
• Supervise Event Supervisors, Team Leaders, Casual Staff and Banquet Associates, leading daily briefings and manpower allocation.
• Coach, train and develop team members; assist in recruitment, onboarding and performance evaluations.
• Act as the operational contact during events to ensure guest satisfaction and handle feedback or complaints.
• Review BEOs, attend operational meetings and coordinate with Culinary, Stewarding, Engineering, Housekeeping, Security, Sales & Marketing and Front Office.
• Arrange AV, furniture, linen, décor and staffing requirements in advance.
• Support labor scheduling, control payroll costs and monitor departmental expenses to meet budget targets.
• Assist with inventory management, equipment control and prepare operational reports as required.
