Audit & Assurance Manager – Deloitte Qatar

About the role

Deloitte is seeking an experienced Audit & Assurance Manager to join its Qatar team. You will lead audit engagements, ensure high‑quality delivery, and build trust with multiple stakeholders while supporting the firm’s purpose of making an impact that matters.

Key responsibilities

• Review documentation of transaction flows and test relevant controls early in the audit cycle.
• Suggest mitigating testing when controls are ineffective, applying professional scepticism.
• Identify opportunities to add value and integrate specialist expertise across the firm.
• Participate in group risk assessment and coordinate work of component auditors.
• Prepare and review referral instructions and evaluate component auditor responses.
• Run regular file checks, maintain appropriate file structures, and ensure all audit points are cleared.
• Engage early with scheduling, communicate expectations, and manage deadlines for the engagement team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in audit, preferably at a senior or manager level.
• Strong ability to build credibility and provide constructive challenge.
• Professional scepticism and awareness of fraud risk and governance issues.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, management, and audit teams.
• Capability to coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams and manage complex engagements.
