Utility Tariff Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Utility Tariff Specialist to join our client’s team in Qatar on a 12‑month contract, with the possibility of extension. The role focuses on designing, evaluating, and implementing tariff structures that support emerging use cases and promote efficient energy usage.

Key responsibilities

• Assess financial implications of new tariff structures across customer segments.
• Support communication of tariff changes to improve customer understanding and adoption.
• Evaluate alternative pricing mechanisms and their impact on the existing customer base.
• Develop and refine tariff frameworks aligned with system objectives and emerging use cases.
• Design, simulate, and validate new pricing products before deployment.
• Ensure financial sustainability of new pricing approaches.
• Assist in configuring billing systems for advanced, flexible pricing.
• Provide data‑driven insights for customer‑focused pricing programs.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in Utility Rate Design, Regulatory Affairs, or Energy Economics.
• Master’s degree in Economics, Energy Policy, or an MBA.
• Expert‑level understanding of Dynamic Pricing and Demand Response.
