About the role
Join a leading hotel brand and support the bakery team in delivering fresh breads, pastries, and cakes for daily service, buffets, and special events. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and baking a variety of bakery items following standard recipes.
- Maintain portion control, presentation standards, and consistent product quality.
- Support the senior chef with mise‑en‑place and daily bakery operations.
- Operate mixers, ovens, proofers and other bakery equipment safely.
- Manage storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients in line with HACCP guidelines.
- Help with inventory control, stock replenishment and waste reduction.
- Ensure a clean, organized workstation and uphold hygiene and safety standards.
Required profile
- Previous experience in a bakery or pastry environment, preferably in a hotel.
- Basic knowledge of baking techniques, dough handling and pastry fundamentals.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced setting and follow instructions.
- Positive attitude, teamwork orientation and willingness to learn.
