Barista

About the role

The Barista will deliver exceptional coffee and beverage experiences to hotel guests and patrons. Working in the hotel’s food and beverage outlets, you will prepare high‑quality drinks, provide friendly service, and help maintain a welcoming atmosphere.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso‑based drinks, teas and specialty beverages according to recipes and guest preferences.
• Operate and maintain coffee‑making equipment such as espresso machines, grinders and blenders.
• Greet guests, take orders accurately, recommend menu items and handle special requests.
• Process payments using the POS system, manage cash, credit cards and room charges in line with hotel policies.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary workstation and follow health‑safety and food‑safety regulations.
• Monitor inventory of coffee beans, syrups, milk and other supplies, report shortages and assist with stock rotation.
• Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff and managers to ensure seamless service, especially during peak periods.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a barista or in a customer‑facing food‑and‑beverage role.
• Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, including espresso pulling, latte art and milk steaming.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Basic math skills for handling payments and inventory.
• Food handler’s certificate or relevant barista training/certification.
