BIM Engineer - Roads & Infrastructure

About the role

KEO, an award-winning architecture and project management consultancy, is looking for a BIM Engineer to join its team in Doha, Qatar. The role supports 3D design models and develops, manages and coordinates BIM models for roads, highways and related infrastructure works, ensuring 2D drawings are generated from models, clash detection is performed and multidisciplinary coordination is maintained.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate BIM implementation within the roads/infrastructure discipline for multidisciplinary project delivery.
• Manage the assigned BIM/CAD team, including QA/QC of models and drawings.
• Help create BIM deliverables, model federation, clash detection reports, BIM quality control plans and design reviews, and support asset management BIM implementation.
• Develop and manage 3D models for roads, highways, earthworks, drainage and related infrastructure using Civil 3D and other relevant tools.
• Run internal clash detection to prevent interference between road alignments, utilities and other elements.
• Generate 2D drawings (plans, profiles, cross-sections, details) from BIM models in line with client requirements and company standards.
• Support BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and lead BIM standards, modelling workflows and digital delivery processes.
• Provide software troubleshooting, create templates and libraries, train modelers and oversee their onboarding.
• Act as the contact point between the BIM Management team and the project design team.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• More than 10 years of experience, including at least 3 years on roads/highways/infrastructure projects.
• Experience in clash detection, model coordination and multidisciplinary BIM workflows.
• Gulf experience and knowledge of Qatar's infrastructure projects is an advantage.

Required skills

• Autodesk Civil 3D, Infraworks and Navisworks.
• Familiarity with international BIM standards such as ISO 19650.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
