Business Continuity and Risk Management Specialist

About the role

Hamad International Airport is looking for a specialist to support the implementation, maintenance and continual improvement of its Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) and risk management arrangements. The role ensures that critical airport functions are assessed, documented, exercised and prepared to respond to operational disruption, and supports business areas in identifying critical activities, dependencies, recovery requirements and risks.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the BCMS, including documentation, registers, templates, schedules and evidence, and support an ISO 22301-aligned system and internal/external assurance activities.
• Monitor continuity activities, prepare performance information for management review, and assist with internal and external audits and certification.
• Coordinate the Business Impact Analysis (BIA) lifecycle, run BIA workshops with business owners and Champions, and maintain up-to-date BIA records.
• Identify critical activities, disruptions, recovery requirements, dependencies, critical people and skills, systems and facilities needs, and validate recovery requirements with business functions.
• Research aviation resilience and risk developments and contribute to the airport's resilience operating model.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least 4 years of job-related experience.
• Experience developing and implementing BC and risk management policies, and creating and implementing business continuity plans, strategies and risk assessments for an airport operation.
• Preferred: airport and airline experience.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of ISO 22301, ISO 22313, ISO 31000, incident management or emergency response standards, or other recognised BCM standards.
• Preferred: MBCI, CBCP, CBII, ISO Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor certification.
