Business Development Director

About the role

The Business Development Director will shape and execute long‑term strategic objectives for a multi‑location cluster, aligning growth initiatives with overall corporate goals. This senior position drives market expansion, technical pre‑qualifications, and competitive tendering while supporting both short‑term and long‑term revenue targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic business development plans across multiple locations or business units.
• Identify and pursue new opportunities to expand market presence and revenue streams.
• Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
• Lead, mentor, and manage business development teams across different sites.
• Collaborate with local teams to craft tailored solutions and competitive proposals.
• Negotiate contracts, agreements, and strategic partnerships at the cluster level.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
• Analyze sales performance, KPIs, and pipeline data, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Prepare and present reports, forecasts, and strategic updates to senior management.
• Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and networking platforms.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of experience in business development or related fields.
• At least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Master’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
• Experience in the GCC region is preferred (minimum 2 years).

Required skills

• SAP (functional knowledge preferred).
• Proficiency with ERP systems.
