Business Development Manager – Freight Forwarding

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Business Development Manager to lead our freight forwarding operations in Qatar. The role involves overseeing daily logistics activities, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth across air, sea, and land shipments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily freight forwarding operations and coordinate air, sea, and land shipments.
• Handle bookings, track shipments, and ensure timely delivery.
• Prepare and verify shipping and customs documentation.
• Liaise with airlines, shipping lines, transporters, customs agents, and overseas partners.
• Resolve operational issues quickly and provide regular updates to management.
• Prepare freight quotations, negotiate rates, and monitor costs, billing, and profitability.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers and agents.
• Supervise the operations team to ensure tasks are completed on schedule.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Freight Forwarding, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics.
• Good knowledge of air, sea, and land freight processes.
• Experience with shipment documentation and customs procedures.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Team management and coordination experience.
• Prior experience in Qatar or the GCC is an advantage.
