Business Leads Analyst – Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP)

About the role

The Business Leads Analyst – Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) will design and implement an enterprise‑wide FTP framework for the bank in Qatar. The role transforms the current treasury‑centric pricing model into a business‑driven profit‑and‑loss management approach, enhancing transparency and accountability across all business lines.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and rollout of a transparent, consistent FTP framework aligned with strategic and financial objectives.
• Redesign funding, liquidity and pricing methodologies, including funding curves, liquidity premiums, optionality costs and behavioral assumptions.
• Define and strengthen governance between Treasury and Global Markets, establishing clear accountability and “Chinese Walls”.
• Transition profitability measurement from treasury markup models to business‑owned P&L frameworks, embedding balance‑sheet costs into decision‑making.
• Integrate FTP methodologies with RAROC, capital allocation and performance optimization processes.
• Ensure pricing mechanisms comply with regulatory and internal risk requirements and accurately reflect balance‑sheet economics.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in Treasury, Asset & Liability Management, Liquidity Risk Management or related finance functions.
• Proven experience designing and implementing FTP or similar pricing frameworks in a banking environment.
• Strong understanding of balance‑sheet management, risk appetite, capital allocation and performance measurement.
• Ability to work onsite in Qatar for a 1‑year fixed‑term assignment.
