About the role
Sidra Medicine is hiring a Cardiovascular Technologist (Non-Invasive) who works under general supervision. The role centres on performing non-invasive echocardiograms (echo) on patients with known or suspected congenital heart disease of a complex nature, covering fetal, pediatric, adolescent and adult cases.
Key responsibilities
- Perform non-invasive echocardiograms following department protocols and guidelines.
- Complete preliminary reports for cardiologists using Echo PACs software in a timely manner.
- Take part in patient prioritisation in the Cardiology Clinic, inpatients and the emergency department.
- Assist cardiologists with transoesophageal echocardiography (TEE) in the catheterisation laboratory and operating theatre.
- Take part equally in on-call rotation and overtime as dictated by patient demand.
- Take part in echo quality improvement and cardiac programme activities.
- Be willing to help the team with other duties.
Required profile
- A flexible, team-oriented person.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
