CNC Machinist (Lathe Operator)

About the role

Careers International is urgently recruiting experienced Lathe Machinists for a well-known Oil & Gas / Petrochemical company in Qatar. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with conventional lathe machines, machining industrial components and working in heavy industrial environments.

Key responsibilities

• Operate conventional lathe machines to machine and repair industrial components.
• Perform turning, threading, boring, drilling and facing operations according to technical drawings and specifications.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges and measuring tools.
• Inspect finished products against quality and dimensional standards.
• Maintain and clean machines and the work area, and follow safety procedures.
• Coordinate with supervisors and maintenance teams to finish jobs on time.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Lathe Machine Operator / Machinist in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Power Plant or heavy industrial sectors.
• Strong knowledge of conventional lathe operations and machining techniques.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience machining industrial equipment components is preferred.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, physically fit for industrial work.
