About the role

The Commis II is an essential member of the culinary team at the Laya Cafe kitchen within Four Seasons Hotel Doha, a luxury hotel in the heart of Qatar's capital. The role provides exceptional quality and service to guests.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing ingredients, sauces and dishes according to recipes, ensuring Four Seasons consistency and quality.
• Carry out regular inventory checks so that ingredients are kept to quality standards, stored properly and used appropriately.
• Support kitchen staff in efficient food production and timely service.
• Prepare assigned workstations before service hours so that the necessary tools are ready.
• Support the hotel's sustainability goals by minimising food waste and disposing of kitchen waste correctly.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in culinary arts or hotel management.
• 2 years of experience in a similar position at a luxury hotel or resort.
• Certified knowledge of food and personal hygiene practices.
• Outgoing personality and a can-do approach to every task.
• Ability to perform the position to Four Seasons standards, with good personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Reading, writing and oral proficiency in English.
